Please select the accommodation you are requesting:

THE BUNGALOW
THE LOWER BUNGALOW

BOOKINGS
Both buildings are available for a minimum of two nights between mid-December and mid-April, then by the week for the rest of the year.

Although designed for self-catering guests, traditional rice and curry is always available on request, plus a free supply of seasonal organic produce from the property itself. This can range from fresh tropical fruits (papayas, passion fruits, pineapples) to various mixed salad leaves (mustard greens, rocket, tatsoi), from fresh herbs and spices (basil, cloves, green peppercorns) to a rare ‘heritage’ strain of organic red rice.

A fully catered service is also available on request between mid-December and mid-April, from pizza oven workshops and barbeques to traditional rice and curry. This will be tailor-made to requirements by Samakanda owner Rory Spowers, previously a chef at the renowned River Café in London’s Hammersmith.

For further information, please Contact Us with details of visit - dates, number of people and particular interests, whether it be gourmet organic food, bird-watching, beaches or sight-seeing in Galle Fort.

We will then respond with a tailor made package to suit your requirements.
